Overview:

We are seeking an industrious, self-motivated Researcher to join our in vivo imaging and therapeutics team. The Center for In Vivo Imaging and Therapeutics (CIVIT) provides cutting-edge preclinical imaging technology and related services to support research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The successful candidate will work with scientists and other research personnel, supporting a wide array of pharmacology and efficacy studies.

Responsibilities:

The individual will assist with the collection and analysis of data for specified research projects, perform specific research-related tasks and procedures, and maintain efficient laboratory operations.

Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department including bioluminescence imaging and technical procedures.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Zoology, Veterinarian/Animal Science, or a related scientific field.

Minimum Experience:

Desired Skills and Abilities:

At least one year hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academic research setting.

Proficiency in murine husbandry and handling, various routes of administration, and tissue harvesting.

Knowledge of anatomy and aseptic surgical techniques.

Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with members of a multidisciplinary team.

Meticulous record keeping, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Ability to anticipate problems and offer solutions.

Prior experience with bioluminescence or other preclinical imaging technologies.
