Description

Georgia-Pacific OSB in Fordyce, AR is now hiring for an Environmental Coordinator to perform a wide range of duties which include field auditing, inspections, sampling, and testing activities. The successful candidate will report to the Facility Environmental Manager.

What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Assist with day-to-day environmental compliance requirements of applicable permits, plans, and regulations. These may include collecting records, preparing reports, monitoring & directing work performed by consultants, conducting inspections, and sample collection
  • Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and recordkeeping systems
  • Provide support in the development, improvement, and implementation of training systems
  • Conduct opacity readings as necessary (includes maintaining a certification)
  • Monitors environmental compliance issues and provides corrective actions on events
  • Performs and/or oversees environmental monitoring for facility discharges, storm water management and other environmental related permits

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering or related science field
  • Three (3) years or more of environmental compliance experience in an industrial/manufacturing facility
  • Experience managing environmental regulations (i.e., Title V, Water Regulations, Waste Regulations)

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Five (5) years or more of experience in an environmental role
  • Class 2 Wastewater License
  • Water Treatment and Distribution License
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
