Yoh Scientific is currently seeking MICROBIOLOGIST for one of our top manufacturing clients located in Blair, NE. JOB TITLE: MICROBIOLOGIST ( HACCP, Food Safety, GMP)

Hours: 12 hours shifts rotating--see below

Duration: 6 months +

Location: Blair, NE

DUTIES:

• The successful Microbiologist will work in production lab and process environment.
• Collect samples is production environment.
• Process and test in-process samples.
• Work is team environment, capable of using computers, tracking details, and communicating effectively.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MS desired with Minimum 2-5+ yrs. Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality, QA/QC, managing LIMS, CoAs, and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
• Ability to prepare samples, operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate QA/QC laboratory instrumentation; and safely test products using standard laboratory equipment
• Food Science, Food Microbiology, Quality Food Safety support, HACCP, SQF, BRC, FSMA, FDA knowledge
• Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must have a strong commitment to employee safety
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• 2-5 yrs. of Microbiological / Food Microbiology experience and associated micro lab skills preferred
• Knowledge of Food Microbiology, Food Safety, environmental monitoring, HACCP, bioburden, endotoxin
• Preference will be given to lab and Microbiological experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The work schedule is as below: Shift 12 hours, alternating Day (7am-7pm) and Night (7pm-7am) on a 4 week rotating schedule.

• Week 1: Work M-T, Off W-Th, work F-Sa-Su
• Week 2: Off M-T, Work W-Th, Off F-Sa-Su
• Week 3: Work M-T, Off W-Th, work F-Sa-Su
• Week 4: Off M-T, Work W-Th, Off F-Sa-Su

DRESS CODE: Casual, blue jeans and shirt in good repair are fine.

Footwear needs to be closed and ‘hard soled'---No sneakers, sandals, or open toes.

Employer will provide PPE and training material. Training will also be provided

PRESCREENS Required: HireRight background check, drug test (5 panel + expanded opiates), Pre-Employment Physical (Back screen & Urinalysis), Audiogram, Lifting Assessment and Mobility Assessment
