The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for administering and enforcing environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

- Responsible for administering and enforcing environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Leads programs to ensure sites are in compliance with EHS regulations and requirements.
- Develop and lead environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Ensures accurate and timely EHS recordkeeping and document management.
- Maintain environmental documentation and coordinate permitting requirements with regulatory authorities.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as SOP's, policies and procedures as relate to GMP concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and all locations comply with all OSHA regulations.
- Through analysis and investigations, define problem/opportunity areas; develop and implement training programs and policies to address the problem areas and meet OSHA requirements
- Conduct/direct safety training of all supervisors and employees to ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of safety rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Supervise/direct the employee trainers.
- Maintain/verify employee training records are up to date and accurate.
- Develop/ source safety programs and training materials as needed.
- Ensure operations comply with all OSHA, state and federal regulations. This includes implementing new programs within OSHA time frames.
- Oversee company back-to-work programs for employees injured on the job.
- Assist engineering with EPA and environmental reporting and program development
- Responsible for updating and maintaining MSDS, OSHA 300 Logs, etc.
- Lead emergency response activities.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify and eliminate root cause.
- Conduct daily/weekly inspections of the facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA and other required regulations.
- Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and personnel are properly trained in its use.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory on all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other supplies as necessary.
- Responsible for the management of the Safety Committee.
- Participate with representatives from OSHA, TCEQ, TDI or other regulatory agencies during formal inspections/investigations as necessary.
- Conduct New Hire Safety training, Forklift training, etc. as needed.
- Conduct other training as needed including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication (HazCom), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Previous experience developing environmental sustainability programs.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws and regulations, particularly on wastewater/storm water pollution.
- Knowledge of Texas Workers' Compensation laws and Texas Employment laws.
- OSHA 30 HR Certification.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business and employee information.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift and move continually during working hours.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
