Overview:
RES is the nations largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.RES is currently accepting applications for a Project Manager III for Baltimore MD and the metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager III is responsible for delivering large and complex projects, including stream restoration, stream and wetland compensatory mitigation, shoreline and resiliency and other stormwater BMPs, on-time, within scope and within budget. This person will also coordinate internal and external resources for the successful execution of all project phases, develop project scopes, schedule, and costs, manages teaming agreements and consultants, and QA/QC. The PM III will also be responsible for training staff and participating in external leadership roles. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Exhibit leadership in technical and/or regulatory areas relevant to project developmentMarket RES capabilities to existing and prospective clients to build healthy backlogSupervise and mentor junior project management staffUtilize geographic information systems and/or computer aided drafting and designDevelop and manage the full range of project tasks from inception to completionEvaluate sites based on regulatory and technical requirements and constraintsCommunicate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams including sales, land, permitting, finance and construction teamsParticipate in conferences, trade groups, and other external leadership roles

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent in applied sciences, engineering, or similar field10+ years of progressive experience in an applied-sciences, engineering, or construction field; 7+ years of Project Management Experience within the 10+ yearsExperience using project management and scheduling softwareAbility to lead project(s) from conception to completionAbility to supervise, mentor and coach other Project ManagersAbility to present at conferences and participate in panel discussions as a recognized SMEAbility to lead an industry trade group or regulatory steering committeeExperience with technical and/or regulatory and financial fundamentals relevant to the project development with experience training others in the fundamentals, advanced understanding of the revenue recognition process and business financials.Demonstrated existing relationships with public agencies and regulators, private developers, consulting and engineering firms, non-profits and academia within Maryland to further RES reputation and business interestsDemonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, and executing the full range of project tasks on schedule and on budget for a variety of complex projectsDemonstrated experience in estimating and evaluating bids from subcontractors, and managing subcontractorsDemonstrated leadership and influence through communication with internal and external teams to execute tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary teamExperience with forecasting and delivery of financial reports of budgets, % complete, revenue, COGS, margin and cash flowExperience with evaluating projects based on an understanding of regulatory and/or technical requirements, financial metrics and constraintsDesired Qualifications:Experience as team lead of applied-sciences, engineering, or construction departmentAdvanced Degree or additional qualifications in the art and science of Project Management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)Experience with science, design and/or construction of wetlands; Professional Wetlands Scientist (PWS) preferredProficiency in geographic information systems and/or computer aided drafting and designVEVRAA Federal ContractorRES is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
