Join us in this role where you'll support and guide projects on the maritime risks and opportunities associated with offshore wind, while growing your team to perform at the highest standard and develop strategy across the portfolio. This role will require internal engagement with our Permitting, Strategic Permitting, Project, and Corporate Affairs teams.

Welcome to the Permitting, Environment & Marine Affairs (PEMA) department
You'll be head of the Marine Affairs team, which is focused on activities relating to cross-project maritime risk reduction, compliance, and strong outreach for a variety of external stakeholders. You'll report to the Head of Permitting, Environment & Marine Affairs in the North America region.

You'll play an important role in:

working with stakeholders in high-risk maritime areas, which will include implementing a portfolio strategy for fisheries mitigation, navigational safety, and other maritime workstreamsdeveloping the team in relation to the project management disciplines and specialist competences to ensure the best possible support for the organization and the portfolio of projectsupdating the internal project teams on the key risks, embedding and maintaining knowledge, and communicating on key maritime risks and subsequent mitigation strategiesdriving standardization/efficiency of the deliverables across the portfolio, working closely with the Head of Permitting and the Head of Strategic Permittingproviding insights internally into future risks and opportunities, engaging and proactively inputting and driving knowledge from the North America region to several other global functions, including EPC & Operations.

To succeed in the role, you:

have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and inspire, with experience of direct line managementhave experience working across multiple projects, preferably in a matrix organization and in challenging situationsspeak and write English fluently and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to communicate messages to stakeholders at all organizational levelshave in-depth knowledge of US maritime regulations and policies as well as relationships with decision-makers, policymakers, and state/federal authoritieshave excellent knowledge of marine affairs and legislation, especially in association with the permitting/construction/operation process in relation to the US offshore wind market.
