Position Summary
Join the rapidly growing team at Arvinas, the leader in developing therapeutic PROTAC-mediated protein degradation. This is a hands-on, laboratory based role, where your focus will be to support core scientific functions of the Cell and Molecular Biology team within the Dept. of Neurology. The successful candidate will bring a strong skillset in applied molecular and cell biology, including experience in stable cell line generation, iPS cell maintenance and differentiation into neural cell fates, as well as a commitment to teamwork.
This position reports to a Senior Research Scientist on our Neuroscience team and will be located at our headquarters in New Haven, CT.

This position reports to a Senior Research Scientist on our Neuroscience team and will be located at our headquarters in New Haven, CT.
Principal Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Working with senior biologists on the CMB team to design and generate constructs for CRISPR gene editing, transduction or transfection
- Generate high titer lentiviral transduction reagents
- Differentiate, maintain, and apply quality control protocols to iPSC-derived neurons
- Contribute to the process of well-controlled in vitro biochemical and quantitative image-based immunocytochemistry assay design in neural cell types derived from iPSCs, and also in heterologous cell systems.
- Independently analyze & present data at project team meetings
- Think creatively about novel problems, and take initiative to explore solutions
- Maintain clear & organized experimental records & electronic laboratory notebook
Qualifications
- B.S./ M.S with 3+ years of experience in cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, & assay development. Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong hands-on working experience with molecular biology technique, with a focus on manipulation of gene expression in vitro (shRNA, siRNA, and / or CRISPR)
- Hands-on cell culture experience required; experience differentiating iPSCs a plus.
- Quantitation of proteins in cell and tissue lysates by ELISA, Western blotting, and related technique.
