Overview:
Responsible for delivery and execution of FinishMaster's HSE strategy, ensuring compliance as it relates to Health, Safety and Environmental policies, programs, standards and practices. This position drives a culture of safety, ensuring the workplace is a secure environment. Manages safety throughout FinishMaster including 150+ Branches, 5 Distrubtution centers and our field sales and is responsible for providing information, training, and support to ensure compliance with the safety program as well as current and new regulations and legislation.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs using industry standards as well the company's safety best practices
Responsible for regulatory compliance of all FM brands, including EPA requirements
Assist in identification of safety-related training needs as well as conducting safety-related training
Coordinates regional accident prevention programs, plans, and conducts safety-training programs at various work sites throughout the company
Participate in the execution of job site specific safety plans and ensure adherence, at both FM locations and possible customer shops as well
Work with business leaders and branch managers to monitor implementation of the safety management and training programs
Create safety reporting to track success and identify improvement opportunities
Provide leadership to the Safety Committee as it relates to regular and accurate statistical reports on incidents and injuries
Monitor and maintain complaisance programs to meet OSHA and local regulation standards
Creates strategy, budgeting and execution of safety and compliance related capital expenditures
Management of Hazardous Waste storage and disposal process
Acts as liaison between the site and all Federal, State, and Local enforcement agencies
Conduct safety audits at all company locations
Review safety incidents and trends and recommend appropriate action plans
Serve as the subject matter expert for field management
Maintain an active and up-to-date listing off all SDS sheets, as well as all applicable certifications

Qualifications:
Education:
Mandatory Requirements-
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Experience:
Mandatory Requirements-
5+ years safety experience
5+ years of safety management and training experience
OSHA 30 hour certified or must complete within 60 days of hire
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Proactive and decisive leader with excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships
Proven implementation/execution ability
Proven track record as an effective change agent
Highly organized and strong ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools
Knowledge of SDS requirements, EPA laws and regulations
Preferred Requirements-
Familiar with ISO safety standards process
Experience ins hazardous waste and flammable safety regulation
