ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner/Project Coordinator to support our Energy client sector. This role will be remote as we continue to move through the pandemic and beyond. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, that is a well-organized individual with strong communication skills and a desire to advance towards a senior level Environmental Planner/Assistant Project Manager position.

Job Description

The primary duty of this role is to coordinate and support development of environmental and land management compliance documents for utility related projects within the energy and environmental industries. This person will work directly with clients and environmental and technical staff to support workflow management via participation in workload management conference calls, database tracking, and communication and outreach tactics including email and telephone. The duties of the position will require the individual to work under the direct supervision of the Pacific Gas and Electric Land Conservation Commitment (LCC) and Land Department teams to work with the various organizations involved in conservation activities within the 11 watershed planning boundaries described in PG&E's Land Conservation Plan. The PG&E client support will require a well-organized, strong communicator to support PG&E teams with outreach, data collection, file management, and documentation in support of collection and verification of documentation and data related to landowner lease renewals and development of the LCC Annual Work Plan. The individual should be a detailed oriented, self-starter who is well versed in quickly assimilating program details to formulate task requirements and how each deliverable furthers program goals. The individual will participate in team conference calls; coordinate/track collection and management of data; contact property owners via telephone and email in support of data verification and collection; support website data management; and other related tasks as requested. The individual will work with a team of PG&E LCC and Land program staff to further the goals of PG&E LCC and Land programs. The successful candidate will be equally adept at working independently and as well as an integral part of a larger team.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain website pages

Further develop strategies to improve data collection from PG&E staff.

Support system wide lease and license compliance, including but not limited to landowner communication and outreach, collection and verification of insurance certificates, and other tasks related to landowner lease renewals.

Utilize a tracking tool to collect, record and coordinate project workflow activities

Update internal PG&E project records with data collected.

Clearly communicate timelines and gather data from individuals across multiple lines of business and departments and follow up, as necessary.

Professionally manage relations and expectations with PG&E clients while identifying new opportunities for business development.

Participate in regular team meetings with the potential for occasional travel to client offices.

Support other PG&E projects as requested.

Support small scale projects or stand-alone tasks related to environmental compliance, including leading client contact, task schedule, personnel allocation/planning, permit applications, technical approach, and subcontractor involvement.

Be a collaborative member of an integrated project team of engineers, scientists, planners, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Work closely with clients to achieve long-term objectives and efficiencies, such as programmatic strategies from front-end siting and routing analysis and feasibility studies through implementation, operations, and maintenance.

In a team setting, contribute to business development efforts, including proposal efforts within subject matter expertise.

What You Must Have

3+ years of environmental planning and/or professional related experience in a consulting or team-based environment.

Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel formulas and data manipulation. Experience with SharePoint.

Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills to represent ICF with key external clients and senior leadership.

Familiarity and demonstrated interest in working with tracking tools and large datasets.

Perform related assignments and duties as requested to facilitate the accomplishment of program goals and objectives.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Possess analytic, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

Proven success in working well independently and operating collaboratively on a team to resolve challenges in a neutral fashion
