A Lead Researcher position is currently available in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, in the laboratory of Dr. Xinwei Cao . The Cao lab studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate the development of the vertebrate nervous system, with a special focus on neural stem/progenitor cells. We are also interested in the molecular mechanisms and biological relevance of a phenomenon called "hypertranscription". We use genetically engineered animal models as well as in vitro models and employ an integrated set of molecular, cellular, biochemical, imaging, and computational techniques. We seek accomplished and self-motivated scientists with strong background in developmental biology, cell biology, or gene regulation and extensive experience in biochemical or molecular techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required
  • Five (5) years of relevant, post-degree work experience is required
  • Two (2) years of relevant post-degree work experience is required with a Master's degree
  • No experience is required with a PhD
