Job Description:
Our client is seeking a full-time environmental field technician in Miami. Environmental technicians work with scientists and engineers on a variety of land redevelopment, electric utility, remediation, chemical/petroleum spill, and municipal solid waste landfill projects. Field technician must follow regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and company protocols, exercise independent judgement and be able to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction from management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Well installation oversight
- Groundwater monitoring
- Soil Sampling
- Vapor monitoring
- Field note preparation
- Surveying
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing environmental field work (including sampling) or working in an environmental laboratory
- Prefer strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with environmental field work preferred
- Associates degree in environmental or construction field preferred
- Open to environmental scientists, if they are committed to working in the field for a minimum of 2 years.
