Growing global biomaterials manufacturer is looking for a Microbiology Technician for their facility in Birmingham. This position is responsible for conducting routine microbiological testing, documentation and data analysis for release and in-process pharma material, utilities, raw material, facilities and equipment. You would also be responsible for the upkeep of the lab, supplies and other various routine tasks. This is an incredible opportunity to grow and being exposed and learn about drug delivery, medical devices and the biomaterials space. It is a long-term contract for about a year with potential for conversion.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biological sciences, or related field of study
  • Experience in a clinical, academic, or industrial/pharmaceutical microbiology lab
  • Experience in microbiological assays and testing
  • Desired experience in environmental monitoring and trending and testing of utilities
  • GMP experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with microorganisms and hot liquids
