SRA/AS/Scientist, Molecular Biology

Aragen Biosciences is looking for a creative SRA/AS/Scientist to join our molecular biology team supporting a diversity of clients' projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the selection, development, and reduction to practice of modern molecular biology techniques to enable optimal expression vector design, genetic engineering of cell lines, and sequence analyses. The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge of genetics and nucleic acid biochemistry to overcome internal process bottlenecks, develop creative solutions, and guide client's discovery and lead optimization efforts. Our molecular biologist must have proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD or M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular biology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• MS with 3+ years, or PhD with research experience in an academic or industry setting, and outstanding scientific and personal skills
• Expertise in molecular biology techniques, including cloning, qPCR, library preparation and RNA handling knowledge.
• Experience with phage display, antibody humanization, affinity maturation or CRISPR will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to engineer molecules by working with teammates and clients, and staying abreast of the literature
• Experience in mammalian cell culture methods, transfection and setting up cellular assays.
• Excellent documentation of experiments, and sample tracking using an ELN.
• Presenting results regularly at R&D and project meetings and contributing expertise to cross-functional teams throughout Aragen.
