What You Will Do
A post-doctoral position is available in the multi-disciplinary area of evolutionary epidemiology and ecology of bunyaviruses. This area includes phylogenetics, mathematical modeling, phylodynamics, and epidemiological methods applied to bunyavirus genetic sequence data. This postdoc is part of a broad multi-disciplinary research project involving LANL, Public Heal th England, University of Leeds, and Sivas University of Science and Technology, that includes data from clinical, experimental, and field environments. The focus of the research will be on using pathogen genetic sequence data to study the complex, multi-host transmission system of Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus. We are specifically interested in candidates with backgrounds in phylodynamic and epidemiological methods development. The position starts immediately and is 2 years (with possible 3rd year extension) with competitive starting salary plus benefits.

- Excellent communication and writing skills
Education/Experience : A Ph.D. in epidemiology, ecology, virology, computer science, mathematics, or statistics. The candidate must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by commencement of the appointment and must be within five years of completion of the Ph.D. Candidates may also have previous experience including postdoctoral experience. However, no previous experience beyond Ph.D. is required
Desired Qualifications:
