Oxford Solutions currently has an opening with our engineering client for an Environmental Field Technician.

Essential Functions of the Environmental Technician.
  • Collect water, soil, air and other samples for analysis to assess pollution and other problems
  • Maintain data on samples and other fieldwork
  • Perform basic calculations and computer data entry
  • Prepare, maintain, and present reports and records
  • Set up and operate equipment or stations to monitor and collect pollutants from sites


Requirements of the Environmental Technician
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related area preferred
  • 1 to 2 years' practical experience in field investigations; condition studies on municipal infrastructure (sewage collection, storm water, water); associated surveys; and field monitoring.
  • NAASCO certifications (manhole and pipeline assessments)
  • Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret various gauges and meters, record field observations, and prepare simple reports.
  • Comfortable with conducting field work 95% of time.
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Strong work ethic and capability to work safely outdoors without direct supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
