What youâll learn & achieve::

The Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager leads the administration of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs and initiatives for the organization at multiple sites. This includes the development, implementation, and evaluation of EHS initiatives related to occupational safety and health, accident prevention, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, safe work practices, training, and counseling management of best EHS practices. The Regional EHS Manager also:

Coordinates EHS operations in a manner which produces a customer focused and cost effective operation dedicated to upholding and furthering public safety.

Ensures compliance with regional environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Responsible for disseminating legal and regulatory changes to the organization.

Administers compliance training programs in EHS for designated facilities.

Responsible for assigned staff (e.g. environmental health and safety specialists) in assigning projects, defining accountability, performance management, salary administration, performance appraisal, staff counseling, and career progression counseling in a timely and effective manner.

Operates within a budget as directed by the Global EHS Manager.

Performs other duties as directed.

What makes you a great fit::

University Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry,Physics, Biology or Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field

Additional requirement of one of the following: Related Masters degree or Certified Industrial Hygienist (American Board of IndustrialHygiene) or Professional Engineer license or Certified Safety Professional (Board ofCertified Professionals)

8 years of directly related experience.
