Position Summary: Monitoring product quality by performing predetermined microbiology tests to support marketed and pre-marketed product formulations in accordance with SOPs and regulations. Key responsibilities: * Performs lab bench microbiological tests and data analysis as per department SOPs. * Performs sterility testing using isolator technology as per department SOPs. * Performs tests to support customer return program * Performs harvesting and standardizing of challenge microorganisms using a spectrophotometer * Provide expertise and guidance for microbiology related work. * Review and approve microbiology raw data sheets, study files and supporting data in accordance with SOPS and regulations. * Guides and documents investigation activities within the group. * Evaluates, improves and/or qualifies new and old methods and procedures with limited guidance. * Authors and reviews technical reports, CFRs and SOPs. * Utilizes change management to document method changes in compliance with the standards and regulations. * Maintains a safe and compliant work environment by following standards, procedures, and company regulations. * Maintains on the job knowledge and skills by participating in applicable training. * Trains and provides technical support at all levels. Qualifications and experience: BS degree in tecnical discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, M.S. with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience Knowledge of quality ISO standards and general laboratory GMPs as well as laboratory techniques such as pipetting, aseptic techniques, good documentation practices. Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively on teams.
