Responsibilities

Assist the Government with implementing an Environmental Planning Program in accordance with DHS and CBP policies, to ensure program compliance with environmental laws and regulations as related to the PMO projects. Environmental Planning: Analyze potential effects on the environment due to implementing the construction, repair, and improvement projects; prepare reports and documentation such as Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets; provide environmental guidance to Project Managers (PM) and the Program Manager (PgM); and advise the PMs on the process of obtaining environmental approvals from the relevant agencies and stakeholders. Environmental Status Report (ESR): Capture all ongoing environmental actions for assigned projects and input a monthly environmental status report (ESR). Prepare a monthly report that includes all environmental actions completed since the previous report. Environmental Compliance Support: Attend and support planning, review and compliance meetings to be conducted at CBP locations nationwide. The purpose of the meetings will be to provide technical guidance regarding environmental planning and compliance issues to ensure the most expeditious and effective implementation of the proposed projects.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Master's Degree or equivalent

+ Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience implementing Environmental Planning Programs

+ US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are contractually required.

Preferred:

+ Effective written and oral communication skills.

+ Attentiveness to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance, dispersed team environment.

+ Ability to stay self-motivated and self-directed and adapt to changing business and technical priorities.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
