Job Description

Concordia University invites applicants for an Adjunct Faculty position(s) to teach botany and/or genetics (Lectures and lab components) on the Ann Arbor, MI Campus for the fall 2021 semester (8/30/21-12/17/21).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

* Create lesson plans and conduct class sessions
* Prepare syllabus
* Prepare and administer exams and other assessments
* Grade students' work, maintain an online gradebook, and record midterm and final course grades
* Teach and facilitate lab activities in large and small groups
* Must maintain a minimum of three office hours per week (may be held remotely via zoom)
* All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Equipment

Education and Training

* Master's degree in biology, botany, or a related field is or current ABD doctoral candidate required
* Must possess effective interpersonal skills - able to work with diverse, student populations in close, academic, and professional working relationships
* Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and collaborative environment
* Evidence of teaching college-level courses preferred
