Job Description
Position Summary: We are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. You will represent ENGEO on various projects and job sites throughout the greater Bay Area and beyond ensuring the highest client and quality service and engineered standards as defined are met. Responsibilities include performing Phase 1 and Phase 2 site assessments, site characterizations consisting of soil boring observation, soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, VIMS, field support for environmental remediation projects, and compilation of data. Help designing and sampling with regards to Storm Water Pollution Plans and projects is also a key requirement. A successful candidate must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and build and maintain strong relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc. Additionally, the candidate must by capable of clear and concise verbal and written communications, the ability to operate with moderate supervision and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

Education: M.S. (preferred) degree or B.S in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology

Experience: 3-5 years-professional consulting/environmental field experience (preferred), E.I.T or G.I.T. (highly desired) - PE or PG preferred - or eligible to sit for CA PE/PG exam in 2021-2022, REA certification (optional), OSD/QSP (optional) 40 Hour HAZWOPER (preferred not required), proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Products.

Skills: Proactive, problem solver, proven track record of dependability, keen attention to detail, and well-developed interpersonal skills (in order to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, city agents, project managers (locally and in other regional offices) and internal support staff) are very important to the success of this position. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and diverse environment; have the ability to work and succeed as a team also while being resourceful when working alone in the field: and enjoy learning and sharing knowledge with others for the success of the company. Must have a good understanding of the construction industry. Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer applications.

Candidate Criteria: Candidates must be drug free, have a clean driving record, excellent communication/writing skills and be able to physically transport 50 lbs on a periodic basis. Candidates will ideally have business/relationship development skills while possessing a strong commitment to serving clients and peers.
