Role Overview:

This position will focus on a variety of consulting skills and experience, including primarily environmental, health & safety due diligence for M&A transactions, as well as EHS compliance support and site investigation/remediation. The individual will possess broad, practical experience in implementing projects in these areas. The candidate will be a key point of contact with clients and manage proposal and project teams involved in mid-sized to large-scale opportunities. The candidate will delegate and oversee the work of senior staff and below and provide mentoring and training to engineers/scientists. The individual will need strong communication and organizational skills to manage many projects simultaneously and have broad experience in a variety of industrial markets. The candidate will require a reputation for delivering high quality services for clients and a demonstrated ability to attract significant business and new clients.

You will join our Environmental and Health practice

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and business leadership and contribute to advanced solutions in the environmental, oil & gas, chemical, commercial, manufacturing, government, energy, financial, insurance, and/or law sectors. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to generate and maintain a volume of business sufficient to support the growth of the firm. Typically, successful applicants generate at least enough business to support themselves and 2 to 3 staff members.

This individual will have experience managing consulting assignments, must work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, is expected to be proficient in the analysis and communication of information, and must be able to work cooperatively with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision-making. The successful candidate also is expected to be proficient in all facets of project management. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing Associate and Manager level staff and collaboration with colleagues throughout the Practice.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Generation of a minimum of $600K in Net (Labor) Revenue per year from existing (non-Ramboll) relationships

• Direct staff in due diligence, compliance support and site investigation assignments.

• Serve as Principal-in-Charge for all facets of projects.

• Interface with clients, companies, and other stakeholders.

• Provide technical assistance to Project Managers and project teams while ensuring effective client communication and relations.

• Oversee technical evaluations and recommendations.

• Assist in planning of work, scope definition and development of cost and schedule.

• Oversee Project Manager in project cost and schedule control.

• Participate in the training, coaching and development of technical staff.

• Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging issues.

• Publish articles, give presentations, participate in technical conferences, and conduct client outreach.

• BS or MS in Civil, Geologic, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related science or engineering field.

• 15 + years of experience in EHS due diligence for M&A transactions, as well as compliance support and site investigation/remediation, with 6+ years in a management role.

• Self-starter able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction.

• Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency, and attention to detail, track record of quality work products.

• Experience performing independent analysis and problem solving.

• Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge.

• Demonstrated experience in directing and mentoring junior staff and working successfully in a team environment.

• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.

• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites with some overnight travel.
