ERM is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant, with strong environmental experience and knowledge to join our growing team in the Seattle area. In this role, you will assist in the growth of the environmental services, which include, but are not limited to: program development, management systems development and support, waste and wastewater management, compliance and risk-based auditing, and day-to-day on-site support. We are hiring Environmental Consultants in the Seattle area to help large, well-known Washington and global companies address a wide array of environmental challenges such as:

Implementation environmental management systems
Waste identification and profiling
Waste management and shipping
Waste minimization and reporting
Oversight of waste management contractors
Wastewater treatment permitting, monitoring and reporting
Spill planning and response
Site auditing and inspections
Develop and track meaningful environmental metrics
And many others

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work for a client as part of the ERM team to help solve their most pressing environmental challenges.
Assist in the development of solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.
Enable our clients business objectives and help them achieve these objectives.
Implement innovative environmental programs and strategies in the areas of waste minimization, auditing for compliance, environmental management systems, high-impact training, and compliance support.
Support our clients desire to improve their environmental performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
Manage a variety of tasks to achieve scope, budget and schedule targets while ensuring we meet and exceed our clients expectations on deliverables.
Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
Work with project team to effectively implement assignments for client.
Build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage your skills and solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

BS in environmental management, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related discipline. Professional Engineer and/or Masters a plus; Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in working with significant private-sector clients on regulatory compliance and sustainable environmental compliance programs, with emphasis on the tech, biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors.
Strong knowledge of federal regulations, Washington state and local safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
Willing to work at a client location in the Seattle metropolitan area as a seconded employee.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to clearly communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce; demonstrated supervisory skills, especially leading and motivating others to implement new processes a plus.
Must maintain professional interaction, appearances, and communication within all levels of the organization.
Valid drivers license and good driving record.
Local candidates preferred.
