Typical tasks will include field work planning and preparation, remediation system operation/maintenance, collection and proper documentation of soil and groundwater samples to define the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination.
Drilling (GeoProbe) and monitoring well installation oversight, and remedial system permitting, design, fabrication, and site audits.
Responsibilities will also include data entry in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Access databases, desktop research via internet, and documentation of field activities in letters/reports.
Technical writing for Phase I & Phase II reports will be required
Skills:
remediation, environmental science, Geology, soil and groundwater sampling, 40-hour HAZWOPER, geoprobe, remediation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Geological Sciences (geophysics, geochemistry, hydrogeology, earth science, environmental science or soil science).
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Previous field and/or mechanical experience desired
40-hour HAZWOPER certification is desired
