The Senator Frank R. Lautenberg Environmental Health Sciences Laboratory in the Department of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York City) seeks applicants for a position that will involve analysis of human matrices for biomarkers. This position will provide assistance in liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS) analysis in support of both research and service activities to quantify biomarkers of exposure to environmental chemicals in human matrices.
  • Conducts a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques
  • Coordinates project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques.
  • Assists in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in sciences or related field. Master's Degree in sciences or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years in a research environment
