You will conduct laboratory research and contribute both to discovery pipeline programs and mechanistic studies with Mersana's proprietary Immunosynthen platform. You'll generate experimental data that directly informs key decisions for project teams, and you will participate in the decision-making by sharing your expertise and perspective. You'll continue to develop your technical skills by mastering new techniques, by learning about the work of colleagues in chemistry, bioconjugation, and pharmacology, and by attending symposia and conferences. You'll have the opportunity to become the "go-to" subject matter expert in various aspects of our work. You will also be exposed to strategies, discussions and decisions regarding our clinical programs during regular meetings that constitute a cornerstone of our culture. You will immerse yourself in one of the hottest therapeutic modalities in oncology: antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
How do you know if you're the right fit?
You love experimental work. You're interested in all aspects of an experiment - hypothesis generation, experimental design, lab work, data interpretation, and troubleshooting. You like learning new techniques, trying new instruments, and developing new assays; you like asking advice of your colleagues when troubleshooting. You are motivated by the desire to impact patients' lives through drug discovery and you appreciate the teamwork that is critical for success.
The other stuff
This role is typically best suited for a B.A/B.S. or M.S. in immunology, cancer biology, cell biology, or related discipline, with some industry experience in drug development such as assay development and compound selection. Expertise in multicolor flow cytometry is desired.
Position is eligible for bonus, option awards and benefits including medical, dental and life insurance, 401(k) participation, vacation and paid holidays.
Successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
