Overview:

RES is the nation's largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over (phone number removed) restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.

RES is currently accepting applications for a Project Manager II for Raleigh NC and the metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager II is responsible for delivering large and complex projects, including stream restoration, stream and wetland compensatory mitigation, shoreline and resiliency and other stormwater BMPs, on-time, within scope and within budget. This person will also coordinate internal and external resources for the successful execution of all project phases, develop project scopes, schedule, and costs, manages teaming agreements and consultants, and QA/QC. The PM II will also be responsible for training staff and participating in external leadership roles. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Exhibit leadership in technical and/or regulatory areas relevant to project development

Market RES' capabilities to existing and prospective clients to build healthy backlog

Supervise and mentor junior project management staff

Utilize geographic information systems and/or computer aided drafting and design

Develop and manage the full range of project tasks from inception to completion

Evaluate sites based on regulatory and technical requirements and constraints

Communicate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams including sales, land, permitting, finance and construction teams

Participate in conferences, trade groups, and other external leadership roles

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applied sciences, engineering, or similar field

7+ years of progressive experience in an applied-sciences, engineering, or construction field; 5+ years of Project Management Experience within the 7+ years

Experience using project management and scheduling software

Ability to lead project(s) from conception to completion

Ability to supervise, mentor and coach other Project Managers

Ability to present at conferences and participate in panel discussions as a recognized SME

Ability to lead an industry trade group or regulatory steering committee

Experience with technical and/or regulatory and financial fundamentals relevant to the project development with experience training others in the fundamentals, advanced understanding of the revenue recognition process and business financials.

Demonstrated existing relationships with public agencies and regulators, private developers, consulting and engineering firms, non-profits and academia to further RES' reputation and business interests

Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, and executing the full range of project tasks on schedule and on budget for a variety of complex projects

Demonstrated experience in estimating and evaluating bids from subcontractors, and managing subcontractors

Demonstrated leadership and influence through communication with internal and external teams to execute tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Experience with forecasting and delivery of financial reports of budgets, % complete, revenue, COGS, margin and cash flow

Experience with evaluating projects based on an understanding of regulatory and/or technical requirements, financial metrics and constraints

Desired Qualifications:

Experience as team lead of applied-sciences, engineering, or construction department

Advanced Degree or additional qualifications in the art and science of Project Management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)

Experience with science, design and/or construction of wetlands; Professional Wetlands Scientist (PWS) preferred

Proficiency in geographic information systems and/or computer aided drafting and design
