Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Geologist for employment in the Indianapolis, IN office.
This position is expected to begin in August 2021.

About DCS-Environment
With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM's global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals - to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Project Field and Office Support for Site Assessment and Remediation Projects.
- Perform field sampling activities and become proficient with field instrumentation and equipment.
- Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.
- Analytical data analysis.
- Report preparation.
- Evaluation of alternatives.
- Data summaries.
- Field sampling for soil, soil vapor and groundwater is required in a variety of environmental settings.
Minimum Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, Hydrogeology or a related field with broad coursework in the sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in sometimes challenging conditions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike.
- Flexible with working hours and locations, frequent travel within 1 - 2 hrs. drive of home office, and occasionally further.
- Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks.
- Strong research and report writing (including web-based research).
- Strong numerical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Strong quality and time management.
- Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative.
- Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.

- Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and this position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.
- Due to the nature of the work, this position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
- Relocation will not be provided.
