A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STAFF SCIENTIST/ENGINEER

As a Staff Scientist or Engineer, you are the back bone of our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, you provide support on a range of environmental projects including: Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, remediation system operation and maintenance, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities. You conduct field work to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed.

People skills are essential as you interact regularly with contractors, regulators, and clientele. Though a lot of time is spent in the field, you are also responsible to complete routine administrative tasks. Collected field data is summarized in reports and presented to Project Managers. Our mission is to complete work safely, on-time, and on budget which makes our clients happy and provides a great sense of accomplishment to our staff.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCIENTIST/ENGINEER
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Earth Science, or Engineering field
  • Technical writing competency
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Self-starter, quick learner and effective communicator
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work consecutive long days in the field under varying adverse weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, and sometimes wet).

STAFF SCEINTIST/ENGINEER WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Staff position typically works Monday - Friday with occasional traveling and weekend work.
