San Antonio Zoo of San Antonio, TX, is looking to hire a full-time Prospect and Gifts Manager to join our zoo family! WORK SCHEDULE

We are a year-round operation; this position requires a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally after hours for special assignments. Our Prospect and Gifts Manager is 40 hours a week, and the compensation for this position is $45k.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PROSPECT AND GIFT MANAGER

As a Prospect and Gift Manager will play a key role in utilizing research methods in the overall fundraising efforts for San Antonio Zoo. You will be expected to provide key data extraction, management, exploratory data analysis, and reports to our development team. The ideal candidate will have prospect management, Altru database, and gift processing and acknowledgment.

You must be fully committed to San Antonio Zoo's mission to create awareness that inspires action to care for the wildlife we steward and the animals we protect. You take pride in knowing your hard work is making a difference in wildlife conservation.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROSPECT AND GIFT MANAGER
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a database management position, preferably in a not-for-profit development office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in a Blackbaud system required-Altru preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work with susceptible and confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
