Job Summary:

Provide Drilling and Completions Operations support services to ensure Environmental compliance with federal, state, and local permits, regulations, and programs (including but not limited to CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, EPCRA)

Job Duties:
  • Effectively communicates environmental programs for the organization, including some or all of the following: conduct environmental audits, rig and/or frac fleet inspections, collection of air, water, and/or soil samples, investigation, reporting and follow-up on spills and releases, address potential landowner issues/concerns, preparation of required reports, application for required permits, and maintenance of compliance and HSE records.
  • Manages Enablon process and documentation for environmental related impacts.
  • Support response to environmental incidents including participation in the Incident Command System (ICS), making notifications to agencies, and participating in the incident investigation process.
  • Interact with environmental regulatory agencies (including, but not limited to RRC, TCEQ, EPA).
  • Report spills to applicable agency and provide follow-up documentation and closure reports.
  • Effectively communicate with field operations on the environmental compliance requirements subject to their sites and assist with the field implementations.
  • Provide environmental training and guidance (both office and rig site) as applicable.
  • Manage remediation and reclamation project execution including contractor selection, scope of work approval, field work oversight, and closure report approval.
  • Provides oversight for environmental contractors tasked with remediation of spills, waste management, pit closure, etc.
  • Support waste project execution including waste sampling, manifest preparation, and shipping.
  • Support compliance with environmental permits and regulatory programs.
  • Work with domestic wastewater vendors to prevent regulatory failures.
  • Support natural resources compliance including location selection and wildlife protection programs.
  • Support Drilling Construction in avoiding environmental surface hazards when developing in environmentally sensitive areas (e.g. floodplains, wetlands, public water supply, etc.).
  • Support and promote environmental risk mitigation and spill prevention programs.
  • Behavior and Potential Environmental hazard observations, identification, and corrective action.
  • Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Environmental Supervisor.
