Come join our dynamic team! WestLand Resources has a great opportunity for an environmental planning and permitting specialist to become a Senior Project Manager in our Environmental Department. The position can be in any WestLand office (Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Portland), or other depending on qualifications.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in natural resources, environmental science, geology, soil science, or related field.
A minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with, and demonstrated expertise in, environmental permitting projects, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404, Endangered Species Act (ESA), etc. Experience with permitting processes specific to western states a plus.
A minimum of ten (10) years' experience managing projects with ever increasing complexity.
Experience in mining or power transmission/distribution projects a plus.
Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with a range of diverse clients and regulatory agencies.
Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner
Strong organizational skills.
Exemplary communication skills (written and oral).
