The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences is hiring an Assistant Professor in Biology to start Fall, 2021. A PhD in Biology is strongly desired. The candidate must be interested and able to teach introductory Biology courses, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, and Microbiology.

Title: Assistant Professor of Arts & Health Sciences - Biology
The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences is hiring an Assistant Professor in Biology to start Fall, 2021. A PhD in Biology is strongly desired. The candidate must be interested and able to teach introductory Biology courses, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, and Microbiology.
- Position begins in Fall, 2021
- Master's in Biology or closely related field required (PhD strongly preferred)
- Must be able to teach introductory Biology courses (A&P I and II, and Microbiology) on campus
- Small campus environment (1,000 students)
- 10 month contract (Fall and Spring). Renewable Annually. We don't have tenure. Annual merit increases.

- Teach 30 Credit Hours over the 10 month contract (usually 5 courses each in Fall in Spring terms)
- Possibilities for overload (extra courses for pay) courses in the Summer
- Faculty Development money available
- We have a lab manager who manages lab set-up and take-down, inventory, etc. so faculty can focus on teaching
Education:
- Master's degree in appropriate discipline for which person will be teaching; Doctorate preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate that related coursework and/or teaching experience - not clearly specified - is relevant to the work they will be conducting at the college

- Ability to demonstrate capability to collaborate with other faculty from across divisions is critical
