Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Fulfillment Environment, Health, & Safety ( EHS), Manager

Function Overview:

The Customer Fulfillment Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager role responsible for driving Safety, Environment, and Energy continuous improvement; embedding the World Class Manufacturing (WCM ) methodology into day to day operations while supporting compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and energy regulations, strengthening corporate/regional standards and implementing industry best practices. The individual will support all aspects of the safety, environmental, and energy programs in the North American Regional (NAR) and will be responsible for audit processes and governance to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to site Ops & EHS technical personnel regarding EHS standards/programs, processes, and requirements
  • Apply technical knowledge to support site teams to reduce safety risk and improve environmental performance
  • Implement programs, practices, and procedures designed to reduce safety risks and environmental impact of distribution operations
  • Develop and deliver EHS required training & awareness campaign materials, as necessary
  • Oversee management system audits, including ISO45001 and ISO14001, as necessary
  • Implement health, safety, and environmental compliance self-assessment and support ongoing compliance activities for the operation
  • Provide governance & oversight to third- party suppliers contractual obligations/ requirements and performance
  • Partner with property management providers to implement EHS & Fire/Life Safety-critical process, inspections and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Partner with Security to ensure perimetral security and technology is sufficient to support the operation and reduce risk; provide governance & oversight as needed
  • Partner with HR regarding Occupational Health Management to ensure proper and timely employee care & follow-up in event of injury/illness
  • Execute permit activities and regulatory compliance reporting for the operation as required
  • Drive and support EHS incident/injury reporting and recordkeeping requirements; including timely investigation and corrective action completion
  • Implement & coach others on-site risk assessment and ergonomics assessment process; design and implement countermeasure to support continuous improvement
  • Support Critical to Safety programs; including, but not limited to, machine safety, Lock Out Tag Out, elevated work, confined space, Powered Industrial Truck operations, material handling, dock safety, ergonomics, etc.
  • Support & oversee data collection, entry, and analysis on key EHS metrics/KPIs & KAIs execution for the site
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations and legislation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Communication and support to 24-hour / day processes

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environment, Health, & Safety ( EHS), Occupational Health, Engineering or Science
  • 3+ years of Environment, Health, & Safety experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in large, complex Warehousing and Distribution environment
  • Experience in EHS Management Systems
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
