Environmental Compliance Inspector

Job Description:

Environmental Compliance Inspector Monitor and perform environmental inspections to ensure regulatory compliance during the construction phase of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with federal and state regulations and permitting requirements as they pertain to wetlands, natural resources, cultural resources and land disturbance.
• Experience with Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) standards and Best Management Practices (BMP's)

• Assist with environmental compliance related to waste generated within the assigned segment of the project.
• Perform VPDES/NPDES and VWP inspections and complete associated reports
• Compile inspection findings, interpret observations, develop corrective actions, and track their timely implementation.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of environmental construction and/or inspection experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Construction Technology, or related field.
• VDEQ ESC and SWM Inspector Certification.
• VDEQ ESC and SWM Plan Reviewer certification or ability to secure within 6 months.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and overall design intent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Skilled in driving change and influencing others.
• Proven data analytical skills and an ability to manage information.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
