Job Description
SUMMARY: Responsibilities will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to a number of analytical microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a food safety laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passing and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training; other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: College degree in Biology Microbiology Chemistry Food Science and or Physical Sciences.
Experience and or Expertise: Prefer laboratory experience.
Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: None
THIS POSITION WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONE SATURDAY PER MONTH. On the week where Saturday work is required, there will be an additional weekday off to maintain the maximum 40 hour work week. This position does not offer reimbursement for interview expenses and/or relocation assistance. Priority consideration will be provided to area applicants that reside within a 50 mile radius of the posted location first.
