We are currently looking for an EHS Manager. This position will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing corporate EHS policies. The position will be responsible for all corporate locations, working with the leadership team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES * Provide leadership to the NY and NC sites and direct staff on all matters related to EHS * Leverage all best practices across the company, articulating and implementing goals, initiatives, procedures, and key performance indicators * Establish and maintain health and safety policies & procedures, including RBA Code of Conduct element for labor * Implement a strong safety culture for health, environmental and sustainability initiatives. Lead employee teams for continuous improvement activities * Engage and train employees on EHS topics and procedures, driving a culture of awareness and appreciation for safety * Monitor and ensure compliance to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards involving general safety, fire prevention, environmental controls, and industrial hygiene * Perform regular audits of all environmental, health and safety practices at all corporate sites * Prepare and ensure completion of regular EHS reports and all regulatory reports and statistics * Collect, monitor, analyze and evaluate metrics that measure effectiveness of EHS compliance and training programs and provide senior management with feedback * Develops and oversees all aspects the industrial hygiene program * Responsible for all safety related systems, including fire protection, personal protection management, first aid initiatives, emergency response team preparedness, etc. * Maintain effective safety programs to prevent employee injury and minimize workers compensation costs. * Maintains all EHS files, records, and provides reporting to 3rd parties / outside agencies * Leads investigations into workplace incidents and ensures implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence * Track timely closure of all EHS audit findings and corrective action items.; Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions * Administer a comprehensive environmental program, including Permitting & Reporting, Pollution Prevention and Resource Reduction, Solid Waste, Air Emission, Water management, and Energy consumption. * Interface with regulatory agencies relative to inspections, inquiries and associated corrective action plans. * Develops and implements effective regulatory compliance assurance programs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * BA/BS Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Safety Sciences, Engineering or similar * Subject matter expert with proven experience and training. Certifications desired: CSP, CIH, CSHM * Experience leading EHS programs in both manufacturing and sales/service organizations. * 5+ years' experience leading and directing the work of others * Leadership experience developing / driving cultural change / adoption and implementing procedures and best practices * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations and multifunctional teams (strong interpersonal and judgement skills) * Ability to stay organized, prioritize, yet flexible in a fast-paced environment.
