OVERVIEW:
Candidate will evaluate facilities and processes with respect to potential hazards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and update appropriate personal protective equipment in FOPs (Facility Operating Procedures) for workers to follow
Work with client(s) to ensure compliance with facility environmental health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
Determine appropriate PPE based on chemicals being handled
Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
Write/review hazard evaluations
Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
Other Health and Safety tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline
1-2 years professional Health and Safety experience preferred
Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred
Possess problem solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be a team player, have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be self-motivated and results-oriented, and be highly productive
US Person status required
