The Role:

Tesla is seeking an ESG Project Manager to join the Global Environmental, Social, Governance Team (ESG). This role will support the roll out of ESG program across the worldwide businesses. The (ESG) Project Associate Manager will focus on managing our Environmental, Economic and Social Projects, targets and goals on a monthly and annual basis. They will work in partnership with both ESG Managers in rolling out the Scope 1, 2 and 3 programs. They will help with the technical details related to the development of the systems and data necessary for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Source and analyze data from company operations to support measuring, monitoring, and reporting of Tesla's economic and social footprint in accordance with global environmental sustainability standards.

• Extract and analyze hazardous material use and import/export data to support EPCRA and TSCA reporting

• Work with Tesla's information systems and tools professionals to identify minimum requirements for data management systems for environmental sustainability and hazardous materials compliance reporting

• Review and ensure data is complete and meets expectations

• Understand and communicate current production and corporate workflows, to identify opportunities to improve and automate the data collection process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental-related discipline preferred

• Experience assembling and analyzing large datasets, assuring data quality, and ability to communicate any gaps, questions, and/or assumptions in a concise and clear manner to accomplish their intent

• Minimum 3+ years of collecting and analyzing data for environmental sustainability and/or hazardous materials compliance reporting

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse teams to collect and manage data to ensure accurate calculation and reporting

• Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, engineers, legal counsel, technical specialists, and management, cross functionally, in a multi-disciplinary, global environment

• Previous experience collecting and analyzing data for hazardous materials reporting (Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting, Toxic Substance Control Act Chemical Disclosure Reporting);

• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
