We have an immediate need for a Environmental Planner, with 1-4 years of experience in environmental consulting projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates experience providing services to comply with CEQA/NEPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and Endangered Species acts.
- Serves as a member of project team for fieldwork, research, report writing, and small proposal efforts.
- Ability to perform preliminary desktop analysis, prepare sections of technical reports, and assists with other deliverables.
- Serves as Assistant Project Manager for projects managed by the Environmental Planning Department.
- Provides support to develop proposals, including technical scopes or work or providing research in order to respond.
- Coordinates with project management to completed project tasks consistent with cost and schedule objectives.
- Contributes to the technical analysis and preparation of entire documents or sections of documents.
- Assists department / discipline with duties as assigned, including project and operational tasks within budget and schedules.
- Follows specific communication protocol for each project.
- Work productively in a team environment while also working effectively independently.
- Flexibility with shifting priorities.

- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, and exemplary work habits, especially related to safety, common sense, punctuality, and adaptability.

- Computer/technology skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize critical thinking; a flexible approach to problem-solving; excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written), planning, and organizational skills; problem-solving; research capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated public speaking/presentation skills preferred.
- Assists with quality control.
Education and Experience:
- 1 - 4 years of experience in technical discipline required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree - in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Geography or a closely related field,· advanced degree may substitute for years of experience.
- Professional association membership participation preferred.
