The Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring all activities, as they relate to the Pest Control, Recycled Nutrient Management, Environmental and Stormwater Management Programs, regulatory requirements and other compliance related activities are properly carried out throughout Trillium Farms Croton locations. This position reports directly to the Environmental Compliance Manager and works closely alongside the Animal Health and Welfare Manager, Animal Health and Welfare Specialist, the Compliance Administrator, Production and Pullet Managers and local farmers.

Essential Job Functions
* Monitors compliance with applicable state and federal regulations related to environmental compliance.
* Responsible for carrying out activities related to the Pest Control Program, including assisting internal inspections and completing/monitoring documentation.
* Assists in carrying out employee training programs related to insect and rodent control management, biosecurity, best management practices, etc.
* Assists with internal and regulatory inspections involving environmental compliance.
* Assists in the corrective action process for regulatory and third party inspections of the farms for environmental compliance.
* Assists ECM in responding to resident and neighbor complaints as they are related to farm compliance.
* Carries out coordination and shipment of animal health sampling activities for Croton locations.
* Responsible for carrying out activities related to the Recycled Nutrient Management Plan including:
* Collection and maintenance of all records associated with land application of recyclable nutrients generated at the facility.
* Manages and monitors the storage and if applicable, the application of all waste and storm water generated from the site.
* Oversees the application of wastewater onto fields and performs routine checks.
* Conducts routine inspections of storage buildings, ponds and surrounding areas and related equipment.
* Conducts sampling activities required by the Environmental Management Plan.
* Documents and reports applicable information to Compliance Administrator.
* Maintains and monitors all related equipment.

* Tracks, records and analyzes sampling result, nutrient monitoring, land application, inspection report, pest control and other related compliance generated data.
* Works closely with ECM in ensuring all compliance programs as they relate to Environmental Compliance and Pest Control are properly carried out and sites are in compliance.
* Serves as backup to Animal Health and Welfare Specialist located at our northern locations.
* Performs all duties as assigned.


* 2-4 years applicable experience
* Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to Environmental Management
* Licensed as a Pesticide Applicator by the State of Ohio (or the ability to obtain license upon hire)
* Must be able to communicate in the English language. Bilingual preferred
* Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing and sitting for long periods of time.
* Experience in maintaining farm equipment preferred
* Must be able to work some nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
