The Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) seeks a Business Development Director of Novel Supply Chains to develop supply chains for crops and agricultural products that offer ecosystem services benefits e.g., clean water and air, flood prevention, healthy soils, greenhouse gas reduction, waste to energy, wildlife habitat. This position provides technical assistance across the food and agriculture value chain to help farmers capture the value of emerging opportunities, provide marketing and business planning and address consumers? food system sustainability concerns. Expertise for this position is focused on market development for regenerative agricultural products, sustainably sourced ingredients, and monetizing carbon credits and product life cycle analysis. The position requires a bachelor?s degree in agriculture, ecology, biology, engineering, geology, environmental science or hydrology or a related field (master?s preferred) and a minimum of three years of recent experience in regenerative agricultural systems, sustainably sourced ingredients, and monetizing carbon credits and product life cycle analysis (five years preferred). AURI offers a competitive salary. The position includes holiday, vacation and health leave along with enrollment in the State of Minnesota Retirement plan and the option to contribute to a deferred compensation plan. This position is eligible for health insurance benefits.
