This position assists the environmental manager and geologists with environmental field work as well as the preparation of environmental documentation for various projects.

- Conduct literature research for environmental constraints of proposed projects
- Conduct fieldwork including:
- Wetland delineations according to USACE 1987 wetland delineation manual and recent updates
- Threatened and endangered species surveys and habitat assessments according to USFWS protocol
- Karst Invertebrate survey experience
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Environmental Science or related field
- 5-10 years' experience in conducting environmental field work and preparing environmental documentation
- Experience conducting research and analyses for NEPA documentation is desired
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Scientific Research permit in Texas and wetland delineation certification
- Experience using a GPS unit
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and ArcGIS
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Must be flexible to work within the office hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
- Advanced degree preferred
