Candidate will evaluate facilities and processes with respect to potential hazards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Review and update appropriate personal protective equipment in FOPs (Facility Operating Procedures) for workers to follow
  • Work with client(s) to ensure compliance with facility environmental health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
  • Determine appropriate PPE based on chemicals being handled
  • Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
  • Write/review hazard evaluations
  • Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
  • Other Health and Safety tasks as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline
  • 1-2 years professional Health and Safety experience preferred
  • Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred
  • Possess problem solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player, have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be self-motivated and results-oriented, and be highly productive
  • US Person status required
