We're looking for mission-driven interns to hire for a paid internship. This position is for a Microbiology Intern to join our Research and Development team. If you are excited to join an award-winning cleantech materials startup and passionate about conducting high quality research on innovative green chemistry processes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform laboratory microbiological and chemical analyses for antimicrobial filters for product development and quality control according to prescribed standards.
  • Performs basic microbiology techniques including: bioburden/ microbial counts, growth promoting, practicing aseptic techniques.
  • Determines chemical and physical characteristics of samples. Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all performed procedures, collect & analyze data in test reports.
  • Maintain the good laboratory housekeeping and ensure Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standard are adhered.

Requirements Are:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (microbiology, chemistry, or related fields.)
  • To have knowledge & experience in a biology laboratory environment & can independently perform microbiology techniques like bacteria enrichment and studying the growth characteristics of microorganisms adhering to standard test protocols.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proficiency with understanding technical specifications and procedures.
  • Willingness to speak up with observations and ability to synthesis data and findings into succinct reports and presentations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple daily tasks
