Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Safety and Health Engineer located in Owego, New York with the potential to expand their role and talents to other IWSS sites. Specifically, this position will provide a range of environmental, safety and health services across the site while also supporting teams engaged in the IWSS Line of Business. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in:
• Air Emission Permits & Reports
• Clean Air Act & NYS Air Regulations Compliance
• Wastewater Regulations, Permits
• Wastewater Treatment Plant & Drain System
• SARA Compliance & Reports (Tier II, Form R, etc...)
• SPDES DMR, Sanitary reports
• Chemical, emission, waste inventories
• Chemical handling support
Desired Skills:
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Preprofessional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or eligible certification.
• Experience with DOT and IATA hazardous materials/dangerous goods transportation regulations.
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001.
• Knowledge of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.
• Familiar with EPA regulations related to ozone-depleting substances.
• Experience in change management and planning activities as they relate to ESH integration and considerations.
• Knowledge of chemical properties and compatibilities.
• Wastewater Treatment Operations and Maintenance
o Process engineering

o SPDES compliance
o Budgets
• Air Permit Compliance
o Emission Calculations
o Permit modifications
o NYSDEC, EPA regulatory compliance
o Chemical reviews, inventories
• Chemical Inventory
o TRI reporting
o Tier II reporting
• Demonstrated ability to drive mission success and build effective relationships as a team or project
leader
• Experience with ESH management system elements
• Experience reviewing facility and engineering designs, work instructions, and test plans for ESH
considerations
• LM21 green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge
