Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree with 6 or more years of program administration experience
- Master's degree with 4 or more years of program administration experience
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional writing and communications skills
- Basic financial analysis and budgeting skills
- Ability to travel up to 3 times per year for trainings, workshops, and conferences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Program management experience on grant-funded projects with multimillion dollar budgets and multiple sites
- Two plus years of supervisory experience
- An understanding sub-granting and contracting principles and practices
- Advanced financial analysis and budgeting skills
- Experience working in an academic setting
- Program monitoring and evaluation skills
- A background in wildlife rehabilitation or a deep understanding of the wildlife rehabilitation sector is strongly preferred
About the Job
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all components of the P4W project and oversight of daily operations.
  • Manages a portfolio of small grants, including assessing grantee capacity, reviewing grant proposals, executing contracts, tracking deliverables, and supporting grantee partners (30%)
  • Works closely with program team to monitor program progress, document lessons learned, and recommend evidence-based shifts in strategy (10%)
  • Tracks program deliverables and activities to ensure fulfillment of project goals and objectives (10%)
  • Identifies external consultants and drafts and monitors consultant contracts (10%)
  • Writes narrative reports and other program documents (10%)
  • Reviews and monitors budgets and provides financial oversight. Ensures appropriate allocation of resources through monitoring expenditures. (10%)
  • Supervises and mentors two program staff (10%)
  • Contributes to strategic visioning of the program (10%)
  • Takes on other duties and projects as assigned

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on skills and experience. Remote work location outside of the Twin Cities area will be considered for exceptional candidates.

Partners for Wildlife (P4W) is a grant-funded initiative housed in The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota (http://www.raptor.umn.edu).

P4W works hand-in-hand with wildlife rehabilitators and veterinarians to improve the welfare of orphaned, ill, and injured wildlife of all species. Our goal is to achieve the best and most humane outcomes for wildlife in rehabilitation settings.
P4W's program region includes seven states: Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Alask a.
