Environmental Technician

Reporting to the Facilities manager with dotted line to EHS Manager, responsibilities include:

Waste Water Treatment
  • Operate and Maintain Wastewater Treatment System
  • Willing to obtain MA Industrial Grade 4 Wastewater License within 1 year

Water Treatment - D.I Water
  • Operate and Maintain DI Water generation system

Gas Bottle Management
  • Perform Weekly Inventory of gases and place orders as needed

Hazardous Waste
  • Assist Hazardous Waste generators with transfer of materials and Supplies
  • Perform weekly hazardous waste Inspections/inventories
  • Perform quarterly accumulation results and annual reporting to EHS dept.
  • Knowledge of Satellite Accumulation Areas and Main Accumulation Storage Areas
  • Knowledge RCRA, Hazard Communication, Hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) and DOT regulations
  • Universal waste management/weekly inspections
  • Maintain Spill kits and chemical spill supplies

Recycling Operations
  • Assist EHS managers with all recycling opportunities
  • Support internal recycling locations and manage accordingly

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Additional Skills
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. ACAD a plus.
