Position Summary: The Environmental Services Division provides sound, solution-driven consulting services to a variety of clients in order to assist them in managing real estate-related environmental liabilities and regulatory compliance issues. Our technical teams provide due diligence services, subsurface investigation, remedial activities, indoor environment assessments, and ecological services. As a strong and growing firm, Universal is looking to expand our environmental service offering in alignment with our strategic growth plan. The desired candidate will be a team player with a strong aptitude for hard work, client relations, strategic planning, and collaborative efforts within the Universal family. Job Responsibilities: * Understands and promotes the complete service offering of Universal's Environmental Services Division * Understands and promotes the strategic growth plan of the Environmental Services Division * Travel, which may include overnight stay, is required to drive sales support for all of Universal's branch office locations * Routinely meets with the Universal Management Team to discuss the established sales plan and progress with sales activities * Knowledge of market sectors where environmental opportunities are available and where growth opportunities exist * The ability to identify key discussion makers within an organization and the ability to establish client meetings with the best client leads within that organization * Manages and develops a portfolio of clients in pursuit of defined sales goals as established by the Universal management team * Markets the Environmental Division's capabilities through collaborative interaction of all the environmental departments to drive meetings with key clients and potential clients to discuss capabilities and technical expertise * Finds and pursues business opportunities by networking with clients as well as within the industry to develop business relationships * Develops business opportunities in the public and private sectors * Supports the Marketing Department's initiatives and assists with the development of key proposals * Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, including client and industry intelligence Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or other closely related field * 10+ years of technical project involvement with a direct correlation to sales activities * Good communication skills and the drive to update the Universal Management Team on progress * Well organized and able to document client development activities Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or other closely related field * Knowledge of due diligence services, subsurface investigation, remedial activities, indoor environment assessments, and ecological services * Experience working with clients (new and existing) and marketing Universal's capabilities and technical expertise for new business * Comfortable presenting in-person and identifying key decision makers in an organization to meet with * Highly motivated and able to work independently * Positive professional attitude * Strong critical thinking skills * Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment * Demonstrated ability to build rapport and resolve complex issues Check out our website: https://universalengineering.com/ Follow us on social media: LinkedIn | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube #GroundedInExcellence EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Universal Engineering Sciences is a Drug-Free Workplace.
