Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C., a division of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for an Associate Scientist I, Molecular Biologist, located in Spring House, PA.
The Janssen R&D, BioTherapeutics Development, Cell Line Development group is seeking an Associate Scientist I, Molecular Biologist to support the genetic characterization of cell lines expressing therapeutic proteins.

Responsibilities:
- The scientist will be primarily responsible for molecular biology activities that demonstrate genetic and epigenetic foundations of cellular phenotypes, such as PCR, ddPCR,
- Next-Generation Sequencing, and molecular cloning.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Mammalian cell culture, experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, participation in project teams and maintaining detailed records.
- The work is highly collaborative; requiring excellent communication skills and a desire to be part of a team. This position is located at our Springhouse, PA facility.
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will have a BA/BS/MS in biological sciences, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related scientific discipline.
- A minimum of 2+ year of experience in a laboratory setting or Co-Op or Internships is required.
- Experience in PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, and common molecular biology techniques is required.
- Experience in mammalian cell culture is preferred.
- Familiarity with quantitative PCR and Next Generation Sequencing is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The incumbent candidate must be comfortable working in a matrix environment and have the ability to connect with different functional groups and people in multiple levels while embracing and driving change.
