Looking for individual with a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Sciences (Geosciences, Industrial Hygiene) educational background and relevant experience. Applicant must be willing to perform field work, providing environmental testing, construction monitoring oversight, and document project work. Preparation of daily monitoring reports, and project reports also required. OSHA 40-hour health & safety certification will be mandatory. Candidate should have 1 to 3 years' experience in site environmental investigation, sampling and remediation. Candidates with experience in environmental testing, air quality monitoring and field oversight of highway/tollway projects would be strongly considered. Also looking for Asbestos Inspector, Planner and manager, Lead paint assessor, Indoor/outdoor air quality assessment inspector. Looking for the right candidates for full-time employment or for as an independent contractor for projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

Job Requirements:
  • Provide secondary field support for environmental investigations and sampling
  • Review environmental and compliance activities
  • COORDINATE THE WORK OF ENGINEERS, SCIENTISTS, TECHNICIANS
  • Conduct environmental assessments, including writing environmental impact statements, categorical exclusions
  • Collecting and managing environmental samples
  • Comply with environmental regulations and statutes
  • Assist drillers with direct push soil and groundwater sampling; hollow-stem auger drilling for geotechnical data collection; environmental soil sampling; and installing and maintaining groundwater monitoring
  • Collect environmental media samples including soil, sediment, groundwater, and air using appropriate technologies
  • Collect ambient air samples over a multi-state, environmental monitoring network
  • Take steps to obtain necessary permits for environmental compliance
  • Conducting soil and groundwater sampling for County and State projects
  • Budgeting for plant specific environmental program needs
  • Provide environmental support to the development of project plans and reports
  • Managing large, complex, environmental investigation and remediation projects for the Company
  • Provide environmental scientific and administrative support with limited supervision using environmental engineering methodologies and principles
  • Ensure that work is performed in compliance with permit, environmental and waste management regulations/requirements
  • Advance the science of ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment
  • Develop and prepare stormwater permits for power delivery expansion projects
  • Performing various environmental investigations for a variety of public and private sector clients
  • Analyzing environmental samples in the field
